Ahhh, the quiet

It was one year ago this month (June 2005) that I was being blasted by my neighbor. It took one year but now they are gone. They have moved on to bug other people and left me peace and quiet. Those huge speakers, amplifiers and surround sound are gone!! My friends say, "What if the new neighbor is noisey?" I tell them that there couldn't be another neighbor as obnoxious as them. I think I know what did it. They were fighting a lot before they moved. I think they split up (unmarried).
I have been working on my new project: Lily of the Valley by Drawn Thread.

Lovely design! Looking forward to progress pics!
Your neighbors: some unhappy people just can't help trying to make the others unhappy too... I'm very glad for you that they left. You deserve peace and respect.
Take care, Terri!
Hi Terri!
This DT design is new to me too! It's a good one. Looking forward to seeing more of it. :D
Enjoy the peace!
I can't wait to see your progress pics. This piece is just gorgeous!
*Enjoy the silence...*
Yay for you!!!! No more noise! Peace and quiet while you stitch!

I love your stitching. Hey, did you happen to check and see where your old neighbors moved? I think they're down here next to me!! It can't be just a west coast thing can it?! :o) Enjoy the peace.
YEAH! It's just SOOOOOOO great when you can reclaim your sanity after a load of noise! The guy upstairs has a tumble dryer which is REALLY noisy underneath and I remember the relief when he had it thoroughly soundproofed. And we've just had our own place renovated - noise, dust, dirt, upheaval. Eeek! Not much stitching done though....=(
Sorry I haven't been visiting for a while - I haven't been reading blogs for 2 whole months yikes I didn't realise it had been so long until I started reading the backlog! Just wanted to say how sorry I am to read of Shelly passing away - I can relate to everything you wrote, as the same things happened with our cat Rio ... and I swear he came back to visit me afterwards - he was sitting in the driveway waiting for my car to arrive, like he always did one day the next week, and there are no other black and white cats in the neighbourhood ... then I felt his presence with him during the night - it gave me such a feeling of peace.
Hope everything else works out for you - sounds like you're going through a bit of mental torture at the moment ... hang in there chickadee! As you say, we're lucky people, we have stitching to help ease away the stress at times like these :) And your stitching projects look great :D
